Cleric Charges Nigerians to Remain Hopeful

Pastor James Adegbite of the Redeem Christian Church of Christ (RCCG) Nasarawa Province 2, has urged Nigerians to be hopeful in spite of the challenges facing the country.
Adegbite gave the charge while speaking to newsmen after an awareness rally on Sunday in Lafia, ahead of the Light Up Nasarawa Crusade by the General overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The pastor, who quoted from the book of John 1: 4 -5, said all hope was not lost, saying that people should trust in God to resonate hope through the light of His word.
He maintained that God has great plan for Nigeria and urged citizens not to despair in the face of the current challenges.
According to Adegbite, the coming of the general overseer to Nasarawa State is a prayer answered, noting that God had laid in his heart to move round the states in Nigeria to have a Light Up crusade.
“For this season, he is going to eight states, Nasarawa’s turn is scheduled for Friday, May 13, at Science School field, Lafia.
“He is carrying out instructions from God to pray for light in all the states, we are believing God as He instructed His servant for this assignment, God will cause His light to shine in Nasarawa State and the nation Nigeria in general,” he said.
Speaking on the significance of the crusade, Adegbite said wherever light was introduced, darkness flee automatically, hence the theme ” Light of Crusade”.
He pointed out that the crusade was aimed at destroying evil works to liberate people especially from forces working against the progress of the nation.
Adegbite said Nasarawa state and Nigeria in general would begin to see the manifestation of the light it desires as pastor Enoch Adeboye carries out the divine instruction from God.
He said that Adeboye would be accompanied by the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche and other ministers to pray for Nigeria and Nasarawa State at the crusade.
