Reps Member Assures Constituents of Effective Representation
The member representing Oru-West, Ohaji/Egbma, Oguta federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima has assured his constituents of continued effective representation.
Uju Kingsley Chima, who spoke while playing host to stakeholders from the three local councils that made up the federal constituency, further assured that he will continue with his efforts towards ensuring that dividends of democracy are felt in the grassroots.
He therefore urged the people of the three local councils he represents at the green chambers to continue to support him and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that “with your support, we can achieve more for the people of our area”.
He assured the stakeholders that their support and goodwill has not been taken for granted, adding that he will do all in his powers to ensure that the confidence reposed in him was not in vain.
The federal lawmaker also enjoined the youths to shun violence and other forms of criminality, saying that “nothing tangible has been achieved through violence”
He further urged the youths to refuse being used as political thugs by desperate politicians who want to grab power through undemocratic means.
“I urge all youths not to fall to the antics of desperate politicians who are only interested in grabbing power without offering the masses effective and quality representation”, the lawmaker stated.
Uju Kingsley Chima assured that he will continue to stand and identify with the yearnings of the people as according to him, ” power belongs to the people”.
Responding on behalf of the stakeholders, Hon Ebenezer Amadi commended Uju Kingsley for offering qualitative representation and assured him of the continued support of the people of the three local councils.
Amadi urged the lawmaker to continue to carry the people along and ensure that what is due to the people of the three local councils he represents gets to them.
One if the highlights of the stakeholders meeting was the endorsement of quest by Uju Kingsley Chima return to the green chambers in the 2023 general elections.
