Bauchi APC Guber Aspirant Withdraws From Race

Malam Al- Amin Mohammed, one of the Bauchi State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant on Thursday withdrew from the race, few hours to the primaries.

Mohammed said this when he addressed a news briefing on Thursday in Bauchi, saying that he took the decision in the best interest of the party.
“On behalf of myself and teaming supporters, I wish to formally announce my decision to withdraw from participating in the Bauchi State governorship primaries of one great party, the APC.
“It is important to state that my withdrawal from the contest is to encourage more aspirants to follow suit in order to have a hitch-free primary election.
“As a bonafide member of our great party I feel I should make this sacrifice of withdrawing from the contest of the 2022 governorship primary so as to make APC in Bauchi State a united family.
“My stepping aside has nothing to do with misunderstanding or the process of the primary. I am not stepping down for any aspirant and I wish the remaining,” he said.
Mohammed promised to remain a committed member of the APC by supporting the eventual flag bearer of the party in 2023 general elections.
