Cambodia Offers Humanitarian Aid of $100,000 to Earthquake-Hit Turkey

Cambodia has announced providing a humanitarian aid of $100,000 (about N75 million) to earthquake-hit Türkiye, the country’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement said Cambodia was shocked to learn the news of tragic loss of thousands of lives, tens of thousands of the injured and extensive damage caused by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the southeastern provinces of Türkiye on Monday.
“The royal government of Cambodia has extended the deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the government and people of Türkiye, especially the bereaved families, and wishes speedy recovery to the injured and affected areas,’’ it said.
“In the spirit of close friendship, solidarity and hardship alleviation with the government of Türkiye, the royal government of Cambodia has decided to make a humble contribution of 100,000 dollar in humanitarian aid to assist in the ongoing relief efforts,’’ said the statement.
