Adaobi Nwakuche and Heirs Insurance:

Setting new standards in insurance business

William Shakespeare in the book; Twelfth Night challenged the ingenuity of men when he said “be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them”

Dr. Adaobi Nwakuche is one of the many insurance professionals in Nigeria’s insurance industry who had desired greatness in their chosen profession and she had set out early in her career to accomplish this feat. This, she has done through the dint of hard work laced in her dedication to the principles and practice of insurance which is one of the few professions which strive to ensure the existence and survival of other professions and businesses.

It is only but a handful of business technocrats and professionals in Nigeria, if any that is, that expressed surprises at the choice of Dr Adaobi Nwakuche as the frontline manager at Heirs Insurance Limited, the newest and perhaps the most charismatic insurance company in the country considering the loud applause which greeted Tony Elumelu’s choice of Adaobi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Insurance even though in an acting capacity. Tony Elumelu who is the chairman of Heirs Insurance Limited is desirous of building Africa’s global insurance brand as is with the bank and Adaobi is the pick for accomplishing this mission, courtesy of Heirs Insurance Limited.

Adaobi and her Heirs Insurance Limited are in a hurry to set new standards in insurance business. From the official unveiling of the company on June 1, 2021 to the presentation of the company to insurance brokers on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, the company succeeded in enthroning itself as a hybrid insurance institution with the determination to challenge tradition.

Adaobi says that “Heirs Insurance is a general insurance company challenging traditional insurance by providing simple and accessible protection for vehicles, homes, business and more. We are a team of professionals who believe that there is a simpler and better way to do insurance.
