DANA WHITE AND FRANCIS NGANNOU UFC 270 WIN

UFC President – Dana White snubs Francis Ngannou after his UFC 270 win over Cyril Gane and then fails to show up for a post-fight press conference amid contract row with the heavyweight Champion. Ngannou took Cyril Gane down in a huge turn up for the books and took points win with his ground game and some grappling for a convincing finish.

After the much-anticipated UFC-270 unification bout between current Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou and the Interim Heavyweight Champion Cyril Gane. The UFC president Dana White did not get into the Octagon to wrap the heavyweight belt around Francis Ngannou. He further refused to attend the PPV press conference.

The Cameroonian retained his title with a win over Cyril Gane at the Honda Centre, in Anaheim on Saturday night. The UFC Heavyweight Champion – Francis ‘The Predator’ remains the undisputed champion after beating Cyril Gane through unanimous decision to retain his belt. He is understood to have one fight left on his contract due to a clause that extends the deal by winning a championship bout. This clause puts both him and the UFC in an uncomfortable position, as the Champ has made known his intention to crossover to boxing.

It will be fascinating to see whether the organization comes to an agreement with the champion or decides to strip him of the title in punishment. After a stellar performance in transformation from being a knock-out giant to a grappling god, it will be fascinating to see how much more Francis can grow if the UFC brass get around to settling their differences with the champion who has proved without a doubt that contrary to unpopular opinion of him being a one-trick-pony; that he has lots of tricks up his sleeve.
