Umahi Suspends Eb-SEMA E/Secretary Negligence of Duty

Governor David Nweze Umahi has suspended the Executive Secretary of Ebonyi State Emergency, Eb-SEMA, Pastor Ken Ozioma Eze indefinitely following his alleged negligence of duty, which led to the expiration of the relief materials under his custody.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala in Abakaliki.

Ugbala said that the state governor has directed the Eb-SEMA Boss to handover all the government property in his possession to the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, with immediate effect.

“The indefinite suspension is as a result of negligence of duty which resulted in expiration of stored relief items meant for distribution to the public.

“Consequently, Pastor Ozioma Eze is directed to hand over all government property in his possession to the Hon Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring before the close of work on Wednesday, 9th February, 2022,” parts of the statement read.
